Are you in the “Nothing is Working Out” abyss ?

We all have good days and we have bad days!

And when bad days unfold they don’t come alone – they come with their friends … more bad days. It could be your gadgets failing you or your memory or your people or your clients or something in your life – you name it ….. misery seems to just cascade down.

In a situation like this what do you do?

“think, recollect & remind myself”

I will tell you what I do and it works!

  • When it seems one of those days when the entire universe is conspiring to keep me away from what I want: I consciously take ten minutes out of my schedule to “think, recollect & remind myself“.
  • I give myself the task of “counting my blessings. Not all just five of them
  • I tell myself, “this useless task is not going to alleviate me of my miseries but I have promised myself and so I will and when I am done I will go back to feeling miserable”

I do it.

I needn’t tell you what happens next. You know it. I feel better. I start looking at what is the little that is working and I run with that. And misery soon takes a back seat.
